PUPILS from Trowbridge’s St Augustine’s Catholic College are through to the national final of the Business Accounting Skills Education competitionafter being successful in the regional stage.
A team of six, from the school in Wingfield Road, were one of 43 sides competing and impressed judges, from the Institute of Chartered Accounts of England and Wales, in business games and scenarios.
Garry Ryan, St Augustine’s head of economics and business, said: “It was a super opportunity for my students to apply much of the theory they have learned as part of their A-level economics and business course to a real life problem.“
St Augustine’s will be taking part in the final of the event taking place at Hilton Metropole Hotel, in Birmingham, on June 25.
