Grant awards worth more than £3,000 will be made to organisations working in the community, a meeting of Trowbridge Town Council’s policy and resources committee agreed on Tuesday.
Among those to get a grant are Trowbridge and District White Ensign Association, which receives £1,000 towards the renovation of the memorial to the Great War in the churchyard at Holy Trinity.
Elsewhere, Group Five furniture recycling will be given £500, Yerbury Street Residents’ Association gets £100, Stepping Stones is granted £550 and Age UK will be awarded £350.
There are also grants for Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, Trowbridge Sea Cadets, Golden Oldies and the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
Applications are now being invited for future grants. Bids need to be received by September 30.
