Thousands of visitors took a look at life in the slow lane when Castle Combe race circuit hosted a two-day steam and vintage rally last weekend.
Among the attractions at the event, steam engine driver Charlie Cribbes exhibited a 1929 Aveling and Porter steamroller once owned by Southwick haulage company Barnes Brothers, while Holt bicycle enthusiast Brian Mortimer showed some of his collection of bicycles, that spans 100 years.
Mr Mortimer said: “It’s important to have these to record the history of the machine that was taken over by the motor car.”
The two-day rally raises money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the weekend took their total over the years to more than £50,000.
