BATH Road FC wasted another great chance to close in on the runners up spot in Division Four after they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by an in-form Miller Sports B side, whose latest result means that they have lost just once in their last nine matches.

Matt White with his 16th goal of the season and a stunning overhead strike from the edge of the area by James Hernandez put Bath Road 2-0 up before Harry Waylan got Miller back in the game before half time.

A second from Miller’s top scorer Waylan after the break which took his tally to 17 earned Miller their point.

Bremhill View Boys 0 Corsham Centre Youth 7

CORSHAM Centre Youth keeper Joe King kept a seventh successive clear sheet for the champions whose 7-0 victory over Bremhill View Boys means they have now gone nine matches and over 13 hours without conceding a goal.

Bremhill were resolute and defended well for the opening 30 minutes with keeper Sam White having a fine game against a very good Centre side who finally got in front just after the half hour mark courtesy of a crisp drive from Darrin Moss and five minutes later it was 2-0, Alex Hillier setting up James Lye.

After the interval, Corsham got of to a flyer and a good run and finish from Alex Hiller made it 3-0 on 48 minutes.

A barnstorming run from Sam Hodsell saw him brought down in the area and the youngster picked himself up to dispatch the spot kick to give him his first goal for the club that put the Centre four-up.

As Bremhill started to tire Hodsell who was causing no end of problems for the home defence picked out Ben Thomson with the perfect pass and Thomson slotted in number five on 60 minutes.

Substitute Liam Ralph completed the Centre’s tally with goals on the 75th and 85th minutes after receiving excellent through balls from Ben Thomson on both occasions.

Melksham Forest Community Centre 1 Cross Keys Rowde 1

MELKSHAM Forest Community Centre ended a six match losing run by taking a point of a Cross Keys Rowde whose 1-1 draw at Awdry Avenue has all but ended their chances of finishing as runners up to champions Corsham Centre Youth.

After a goalless first half Glyn Rowles broke the deadlock to put Rowde ahead and it looked as if his goal would be good enough to win it for the villagers.

But with five minutes remaining Melksham were awarded a free kick some 40 yards from goal and Jamie Proctor stepped up to rifle home a stunning long range strike to earn the hosts a surprise but deserved share of the points.

White Horse B 4 Cavalier FC 1

A 4-1 VICTORY for White Horse B over Cavalier FC not only saw Chris Webber’s side claim a third win in four games but it also saw them avenge their 1-0 loss from last October when Devlin Keane’s goal earned Cavalier maximum points.

In what was an evenly matched first half it was Jy Brimble’s 30th-minute strike from a Matt Crosneir cross that gave White Horse a slender lead at the break.

Cavalier got themselves on level terms on 50 minutes when the ever youthful Paul Revening rolled back the years to score his first goal since April 2010.

However it was little more than a consolation as a Chris Webber header regained the lead for White Horse. Ten minutes later Crosiner provided his second assist of the morning with Jy Brimble again being the benefactor as he scored his second and his teams third.

The points were finally wrapped up with four minutes left when Matt Crosneir got on the score sheet with a brilliant half-volley to give a deserved goal that his efforts over the 90 minutes deserved.
