Trowbridge drink-driver in late-night smash

A drink-driver who fled after a crash in which a woman driver was injured has appeared in court. Allan William Hogg, 31, of Hewitt Close, Trowbridge, was driving a BMW which collided with a Ford Fiesta on West Ashton Road at 12.20am on Tuesday. Hogg and his passenger fled the scene but were arrested at 4am. The passenger was released without charge. Hogg pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving while disqualified and failure to stop after an accident to magistrates on Wednesday, and will be sentenced on August 15. read more
