Farmers’ market trial
A MONTHLY farmers’ and artisan market launches in Bradford on Avon on Sunday, August 26. The market will be held on the last Sunday of every month, for a three-month trial period, running between 10.30am and 2.30pm. A range of meats, cheeses, eggs, bread, honey and seasonal vegetables will be on sale at the market in Lamb Yard. There will also be products from the Made in Bradford shop available including pottery and stained glass as well as children’s clothing. Sue Thomson, from Wiltshire Farmers’ Market Association, said: “For a town like Bradford on Avon it makes sense to hold a market on a day when people aren’t away at work and it’s a wonderful site for a market. “We’ve had so much help and support from local groups and the councils. We’re really looking forward to getting the market going, whatever the weather.” For more details, call 07541 762497 or visit admin@wiltshirefarmersmarkets.co.uk. read more
