Rixon makes light work of tricky conditions

THE fifth round in the Dynamite Ray's Bullocks Farm series produced fairly even weights on a venue which had been badly affected by two days of heavy rainfall, raising water levels by 10 inches.

Mosella star Tony Rixon made light of the conditions to carry off top prize with an all-carp catch weighing 30lb 7oz, taken on pole-fished single and double sweetcorn.

Jason Bird, of Dynamite Baits, took second spot with another carp catch weighing 25lb 7oz, taken on pole-fished sweetcorn. He was followed by Martin Rich, of Avon Angling, with a carp and crucian catch weighing 18lb 11oz, taken on pole-fished sweetcorn.

Other placings: 4 Andy Bryant, Avon Angling, 17lb 15oz; 5 Rod Wooten, Dynamite Baits, 15lb 2 z; 6 Paul Ratcliffe, Dynamite Frys MG, 14lb 3oz.
