DESCRIPTION:

The quarry is directly accessed off the A303 and lies to the north of this main east-west arterial road. The site totals approximately 11.54 acres (4.67 ha).

A tarmac entrance leads through gates into the quarry.

There is a large open, seven bay steel framed building (60ft x 130ft) which has been used in the past to grade and store chalk extracted from the quarry.

The quarry was let until mid-2016 to Hansons, who utilised the quarry.

The former tenants of the quarry have indicated that there is approximately 135kt of chalk within the current planning permission available for extraction. Purchasers are advised to make their own enquiries with regard to this matter.
