The band’s EP I Know had more than 700 hits in the first few days and can be downloaded from iTunes.

Drummer and manager Leo Taylor, from Wilcot, hopes the CD will be available soon in music shops.

The six members, who are all 17 and were all in the same class at school, left last summer to go to college but credit Pewsey Vale for much of their success.

They played on stage together after being asked to take part in a school show.

And they say they were much encouraged by their teacher Amy McGuinness who supported them by going along to their gigs.

The two vocalists, twins Christie and Gina Strong, who live in Burbage, have been carving out singing and acting careers since they were toddlers, urged on by parents Carole and Terence.

The twins have been a singing duo since they were at Burbage Primary School, performing at school events, fetes, talent shows and, more recently, in pubs.

At Pewsey Vale the twins, rhythm guitarist and song writer Jason Saraj from Pewsey, bassist Mike Maddocks, lead guitar Harry Winter and drummer Leo took part in several musical shows.

The band now has enough of its own songs to play entire gigs without having to perform any covers of well known songs.

The band rehearses on Mondays at The Shak youth centre studio.

They plan to play in the Pewsey Music Festival later in the year.
