Gig Guide
Rob Chapman
Local guitar teacher Rob Chapman's band, The Black Hand, has released its single Typical Girl on global online music and video store iTunes.
Rob, of North Bradley, said: "The City Will Burn EP, which also features Knife in the Back, Let Your Devil Die and City Will Burn, can be purchased on iTunes and other online music download stores, on the Global Warming record label."
Rob has won acclaim from musicians such as James LoMenzo of Megadeth, who said that Rob brings his own mesmerizing and fiery magic to the proceedings, as made evident in the slick riffing of City Will Burn.
The Black Hand, will be performing gigs, tours and festivals to promote the new album, but Rob plans to continue with his guitar tuition business, which he runs on an individual hourly basis and as an online video service. Rob has also recently been employed as product demonstrator for British-based company Orange amplifiers, a role which will start with him being flown to Germany to cover a music trade show, with a series of clinics across the UK to follow.
The Black Hand also includes singer Oliver Pigott, bass guitarist Greyum May, rhythm guitarist Gavin Kerrigan and drummer Ian Brenchley.
