Gig Guide
Casino Drive
With a debut EP just released across the UK, Europe and America, Trowbridge quartet Casino Drive are set to break into the mainstream.
Formed during a wet summer in 2007, the band are James Rose, 25, and Dave Thomas, 24, on vocals and guitar, James Bice, 24, on bass and James L'Esteve, 25, on drums.
The boys have been friends for a long time but other commitments like university, careers and other bands had previously stood in the way.
They all fit in full-time jobs, as well as a hectic rehearsal schedule that has them spending most of their time playing, recording and writing.
Fusing highly energetic music with big vocal hooks and soaring harmonies, their influences range from Nirvana to Radiohead.
Their debut EP, Spin the Truth was recently recorded at Mighty Atom Studios in Wales with Joe Gibb, who has previously worked with Funeral For A Friend and Leftfield, and will be distributed through a non-exclusive deal with Glasstone Records.
Upcoming gigs:
- February 27 The Louisianna - Bristol
- February 28 Terry's - Trowbridge (supporting Brigade)
