Gig Guide
Decora
Kicking and punching their way out of rural Wiltshire, Decora are: Nick Weston on vocals and guitar, Doug North guitars and vocals, Sam Tarling on bass and vocals and Dan Carroll on drums.
The band are fresh out of the world-famous Rak Studios, as featured in the Arctic Monkey's video for Teddy Picker and where Radiohead recorded The Bends.
They have been working with Helen Atkinson, protegé to heavyweight producer Adrian Bushby who engineered the latest Foo Fighters album.
Decora are now back in their sound-proofed garage preparing material for a debut album.
A limited free download EP is scheduled for release this February, before a showcase at Camden's Purple Turtle.
One hundred per cent self-financed and organised, their strong DIY work ethic has seen them travel the length and breadth of the country sharing stages with the likes of Reuben, Zico chain, The Mexicolas, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Kill Kenada, Brigade, Enjoy Destroy and Exit Ten.
Receiving radio play from BBC Wiltshire and underground music stalwarts such as Total Rock and Pulse Unsigned, along with airings from as far afield as the Serbian alternative radio station Breaking the Silence, Decora have recently topped the charts of cult web-zine Subba-Cultcha.
Top photographer Alyson Blanchard recently worked with the band and has previously snapped the likes of Liam Gallagher, Kasabian, and GreenDay.
