Following their recent Live & Unsigned success, West Wilts band Liveo are self-releasing their debut EP Ride Out The Waves this weekend.
Written, recorded and produced by the band, the EP features four of the band’s strongest songs and will be given away free at the gig at The Pilot.
The set will naturally include the four tracks as well as mother songs, with support from folk songwriter Jordan Whatley and the ukulele-toting Bean.
The EP is a result of months of hard work both in terms of songwriting, performing and producing, and the band say they are impressed with what they have achieved throughout the recording process.
Liveo have also been working closely with Devizes-based photographer Vicky Scipio, using her photographical ideas for the EP cover art, and feel her shots have allowed the band to unveil their darker, more serious approach to songwriting and image.
The indie rock/rap outfit have a series of gigs lined up in September.
These include a debut appearance at The Vic in Swindon on September 28 and a great slot supporting Bath-based band Decade at The Foresters Arms in Melksham on September 24.
To taste Liveo’s music you can visit their official website www.liveo-official.co.uk and download No Place Like Home, one track from the EP, in a pay-what-you-wish format.
