Bath Textile Artists has been running for more than 10 years and its members, who live in or close to Bath or in Wiltshire, produce and show very modern work using a rich variety of traditional and innovative techniques. Their new exhibition at the Pound, which runs from February 8-March 22, will have work by 10 artists, who have taken themes from Wiltshire and used textiles as their medium: layered, painted, printed, stitched, quilted and embellished.

Artists taking part are Yvonne Auld (silk paintings), Liz Balmforth (layering, metal, hand stitching), Barbara Butler (dry felting and boutis), Christine Cook (layering, cold water, abstract), Cheryl Cross (fabric wrapped textile pots), Nina Davis (printing and stitching on paper), Margaret Heath (painting and stitching on fabric), Karin Glass (mixed threads leather and metal on linen), Heather Martin (painting and printing on fabric), and Gloria Pugh (weaving and felting ).

They hope the exhibition will inspire people to look at the textures in their landscape and maybe even try textile art for themselves
