The Phoenix Players will stage Richard Everett’s touching comedy, Entertaining Angels, at the Arts Centre theatre in Old Town, Swindon, from January 28-31, at 7.30pm.
Marlene Poole plays Grace, who has been widowed after years as a vicar’s wife. Without her husband Bardolph (Colin Wilkins) she is free to use her own initiative. The return of her eccentric missionary sister Ruth (Sally Lovejoy), leads to surprising revelations and disturbing home truths.
Nicky Ashdown as Jo, Grace’s daughter, and Emma Hartup as Sarah, the new vicar, complete the cast of this appealing play, directed by Sandra Gilbert. Tickets £9 (£8 concessions) on 07517 698083 or bookings@phoenix-players.com
