Paintings by a Bradford on Avon artist feature in a prestigious Russian painting exhibition that is touring the country.

Tanya Lock has had four of her paintings selected for The Russian Golden Turtle Wildlife Festival show, one of only 36 artists chosen.

The exhibition opened in St Petersburg and travels to Moscow then around other cities in Russia.

“I am thrilled to be included in this, which includes various creative competitions aimed at identifying the best works and projects demonstrating the beauty and harmony of wild nature,” she said.

The pictures she has had selected are called Bringing back olive branch, featuring an elephant; Mermaid, an underwater view of a dugong; Here Today Gone Tomorrow, showing a rhino, one of many species in danger of extinction and Bushbucks Hideaway, an antelope concealed in long grass.
