THE Salberg Studio's offering for this festive season is an absolute treat – catch it if you can.

Anyone who enjoys delving into Cole Porter's wonderful repository of memorable numbers will love this stylish production, by a trio of highly talented performers.

Devised by David Benedict, Simon Green and Glyn Kerslake, this has moments of sheer delight and exuberance, as well as comedy, romance, nostalgia and pathos.

Stunning performances by Glyn Kerslake (musical director), Ian McLarnon and Liza Pulman enchanted the audience.

The simple, subtly lit set, with grand piano, two chairs and two chrome bar stools, is perfect for this intimate little theatre, so one feels rather like a guest at a rather smart private party. .

There are fascinating snippets of information about Cole Porter's life, and brilliant performances of numbers from many of his shows. Selections from Kiss Me Kate, Anything Goes and High Society are wonderful. Liza Pulman's heart-rending rendition of Love For Sale, a song that was banned in 1930, displays the dejection and despair of a girl who knows every love but true love, as she plies the world's oldest profession.
