Trowbridge Youth Theatre will be launching its 2008 production this weekend with a pre-audition workshop.
The group, the youth branch of Trowbridge Amateur Operatic Society, will be staging the cult musical Return to the Forbidden Planet at the Civic Hall in August.
TYT was set up by TAOS last year as a platform to develop young people's skills in musical theatre, and performed a sell-out run of the immensely popular stage show adaptation of Disney's High School Musical last summer.

This time with Return to the Forbidden Planet they will take one giant leap into space with the show, which is based on Shakespeare's The Tempest but set to music from the height of the rock and role era.
Among the characters are a roller-skating robot and TYT hopes to find principal actors who who can play a variety of musical instruments although this is not compulsory.
TYT coordinator Matt Heaton said: "After the success of High School Musical , which went far beyond our hopes and expectations, we are really looking forward to the launch of Return to the Forbidden Planet.
"Anyone who is interested in singing, acting, dancing, playing musical instruments or helping with the backstage preparations of the show should come along on Sunday and find out more about it.
"We'd love to see some new faces to join those who were with us last year."
Anyone aged between 11 and 25 is welcome to attend the workshop on Sunday afternoon which will run from 2.30pm-5pm.
The production's director Wendy Kiddell and musical director Phil Springate will put potential cast members through their paces, teaching them audition pieces for the show.
