The world famous Russian Ice Stars will once again take to
the ice stage in a spectacular retelling of much loved story Beauty and the Beast, sure to thrill audiences of all ages.
With a new musical score from acclaimed Italian composer Silvio Amato and choreographed by Giuseppe Arena (who choreographed the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin) this show promises all the excitement and sophistication that has become the hallmark of their collaboration with producers Wild Rose.
The role of the handsome prince who is turned into a beast will be played by Andrey Chuvilyaev who is recognised as the tallest professional ice skater in the world. Standing at 2m he is partnered with the beautiful and brilliant Olga Pershankova as Belle, a visually stunning combination guaranteed to hold the audience entranced by the chemistry, power and delicacy of their skating.
Also featuring in the Russian Ice Stars line up are members of the Russian Circus adept in aerial and other speciality disciplines, bringing added excitement throughout the show which has been touring in the UK and Ireland from November 2007 until July 2008 taking in 33 towns and cities.
The concept of Theatre on Ice - full length productions designed to fit theatre stages throughout the world - was born when Vee Deplidge, producer of Wild Rose, created a company which toured the UK in 1993 to considerable acclaim, with a unique production of The Sleeping Beauty.
