I UNDERSTAND Wiltshire Fire, along with others, are pressing the government to look again at plans to abandon the requirement for schools to install sprinklers in all newly built schools. It is a known fact that at least 17 schools have been saved over the past few years due to sprinklers.
If this is yet another government money-saving exercise, it clearly is very short-sighted.
