AT A time when we often doubt that friendship and community exist I would like to say that they do. I would like to thank the staff at the White Horse Health Centre (in Westbury), especially Dr Beale and Dr Edwards. Also a nurse dedicated to supporting older people, Brenda Packer, who on a home visit persuaded my mum to go into the hospital that saved her life. Brenda also organised a care package with the wonderful staff at Forget-Me-Not Care, which enabled mum to come home and when suddenly my own health worsened Dr Beale and staff at the RUH have supported me and been wonderful.
I would also like to mention friends and neighbours Margaret Bailey and Wendy Hoole for their time and kindness, and my neighbours Mr and Mrs Mitchell who have looked out for us. Last but not least Ann and Ian Norris who have supported me to appointments and helped me with the many problems we have encountered.
There are many good people out there and I am happy to say some of them are in our lives. So I would like to say a big thank you, we do appreciate them so much and wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.
