GOING back to the Wiltshire Council Cemetery open day in Trowbridge, I believe they were looking for volunteers to help maintain the cemetery.
Being the kind-hearted person that I am, I put my name down for some voluntary work and left my contact details. One of the people who was running the open day said they would have to check with the company who was running the maintenance in the cemetery first.
To this day I have never heard back from the council or anyone representing them on this.
I had so much to offer, being fully qualified in horticulture etc and have access to a wide range of garden tools.
I have always said the cemetery is in poor condition and needs extra help to maintain to a higher standard for all visitors. On reading the Wiltshire Times (Friday, January 20) and reading the story on page 8 with the headline (Doing their best for the cemetery) and now seeing a group has been set up to help with voluntary work, I feel I was not being taken seriously when I offered my services to help, leaving me feeling very disappointed.
