Petition starts for free rail travel
A WEST Wiltshire man has started a petition on the official 10 Downing Street website calling for free off-peak rail travel for pensioners.
Bob Lee, of Petticoat Lane, Dilton Marsh, who has previously organised petitions about transport issues on the Government website, says the free bus passes given out to OAPs earlier this year should be extended.
"It is only fair to match the bus decision with free off-peak rail travel for seniors too," said Bob.
He said longer journeys are so much quicker and more enjoyable with fewer changes by train.
If you agree with Bob, you can support his petition by logging on to http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/RailBusParityUK
