Double joy for Trowbridge Town under 11s
 |
| Goalmouth action from the Under 11s final between Trowbridge Town and White Horse Calne (21779/5) |
TROWBRIDGE Town completed the league and cup double with an emphatic 9-1 win
over White Horse, Calne, in the Under 11s League Cup final.
Trowbridge never looked like losing this game after taking the lead after
five minutes through Matthew Morris. Conner Mckay added the second two
minutes later with an overhead kick from a corner and Tom Green added a
third before half-time with a shot from outside the box.
The second half continued with Trowbridge putting pressure on White Horse
with a fourth goal from Joe Blais.
White Horse then pulled a goal back with an excellent free kick from the
edge of the box.
Trowbridge immediately responded with a fifth through Conner McKay and Tom
Green got his second and Trowbridge's sixth.
Credit should go to White Horse who never allowed their heads to drop even
when Trowbridge scored their seventh when Morris got his second goal with a
shot from the edge of the box.
Joe Blais then got his second and Trowbridge's eighth with five minutes to
go and Joe France then got his name on the score sheet when he headed in
Trowbridge's ninth from a corner on the left hand side.
Malcolm Poulton refereed the game superbly, with assistants Matt Brewer and
Oliver Emerson-Brown.
White Horse player Bradley Le Quesne was awarded man-of-the -match.
