Champions lose first game
 |
| The Trowbridge Town Youth and Melksham Town Youth under 11 teams after their match |
League champions Trowbridge Town Youth finally lost their first
game of the season in the Under 11s Division One to an excellent Melksham
Town team who have finished worthy runners-up.
Both teams had plenty of chances before Melksham took the lead five minutes
before the break after some determined work down the right hand side.
Trowbridge had a couple of opportunities to level before the break and
continued to put pressure on Melksham in the second half but were caught out
by an excellent through ball and finish for Melksham to score their second.
Credit to Trowbridge as they never let their heads drop and continued to
push forward in search of a goal but a resolute Melksham defence kept them
at bay.
The match was played in an excellent spirit by the two best teams in the
division with all players coming together at the end for a joint team
photograph.
Under 11s Division Four
IN a close contest a single goal separated Derry Hill and Bradford with ten
minutes to go before Bradford ran out winners by 7-3.
Derry Hill's goals came from Joe Williamson, William Blakeney and Craig
Jordan.
