Maybe some discipline will be brought to bear now....

There'll certainly be one more tweed jacket gracing County Hall.

The chairman of the council has no disciplinary powers, except in the conduct of full council meetings, which only occur a few times a year.

The chairman of the council is essentially a figurehead.

The real power is in the hands of the Leader, Cllr Jane Scott, not least because she appoints her cabinet members and will, no doubt, have had a lot to say about would be appropriate as the next Chairman of the Council.

I've met Robert (before he was elected), who is certainly very sound indeed - as one would expect any modern British Army Brigadier to be.
