THE Wiltshire Times' vintage bus will be in the Trowbridge town centre tomorrow from 9.30am to hand out Union flags to support a parade through the town.
Trowbridge is set for a weekend of activities to celebrate the town, its community and the people in it, including war heroes young and old.
At 10.30am tomorrow, a parade is being held in honour of the armed services for their dedicated work in war zones in the Middle East.
More than 400 troops will assemble in Trowbridge Park before marching through the town and finishing at the Civic Hall.
There will be road closures and Lovemead Car Park in Duke Street will be temporarily closed to accommodate the buses bringing the servicemen and women in to the town.
The Wiltshire Times' vintage bus will be parked in Fore Street, outside Costa Coffee from 9am tomorrow, handing out 100 free Union flags for spectators to wave in support of the troops.
There will be a second parade on Sunday as part of Veterans' Weekend & Spotlight on Trowbridge.
The parade will originate in Trowbridge Park at 2pm, before moving through Polebarn Road, Silver Street and Market Street.
There will be a salute in front of Trowbridge Town Hall and then it continues down Castle Street into the park for dismissal by the Civic Hall.
At 3pm the veterans in the parade will gather opposite the Bandstand for the Drumhead Service at 3pm.
There will be refreshments in the marquee for those taking part in the parade.
It is part of a wide schedule of events beginning at 10am on Saturday and finishing at 5pm on Sunday in the park as part of the Veterans' Weekend & Spotlight on Trowbridge celebrations.
