Woolley Festival Street Party 2008, Saturday July 19, 2pm-11pm, In and around The George, Woolley Street, Bradford on Avon.
The Woolley Festival celebrates its tenth year with an impressive line-up of free music and entertainment for all the family.
Getting under way at 2pm, the music on the front stage kicks off with The Bodegas and their mesmerising guitars and haunting vocals, moves on with established and new bands and the evening finishes with a full presentation of that all-time favourite - Dark Side of the Moon - first heard in Woolley in 2001, complete with fireworks.
The back stage in the pleasant George garden offers quieter music of all kinds - from swing to blues and the totally original, for more quiet enjoyment.
The programme continues the festival's tradition of encouraging younger musicians and drawing on the wide range of musical talent in Wiltshire.
The range of stalls has expanded and will attract visitors with messages from charities and other bodies, sellers of cards, jewellery, photographs and other desirables, and particularly participative activities.
Children will enjoy a variety of activities - face painting, cake icing, mask and badge making - and several entertainers - Sunshine Clowns, Magic Pete, and a drum workshop - will add to everyone's fun.
Food will be available throughout the day and evening and the indoor and outside bars will quench the thirst from start to finish.
Chairman of the organising group Kurt Paulus said: "This year's Woolley Festival Street Party will mark the 10th anniversary of this vibrant community event, offering great live music, street entertainment and more for children and families in a relaxed setting.
"Musicians are delighted to contribute their services freely and everyone enjoys participating in the street scene."
