20 year old on robbery charge
A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody after appearing in Chippenham
magistrates' court charged with robbery on July 17.
Matthew Mortimer, of The Avenue in Westbury, is accused of taking a
33-year-old woman's handbag as she was walking along Bradley Road in
Trowbridge just after 2am on July 16.
Magistrates decided Mortimer should not be released on bail and committed
the case to crown court for sentencing.
Mortimer will next appear at Swindon Crown Court tomorrow.
