Police probe 'knife assault'

POLICE are investigating claims of an assault involving a knife close to a supermarket in Trowbridge.
Officers received reports of an assault at 12.45am on Saturday, involving two men and a group of other men, close to the Tesco Extra store in County Way.
One of the two men suffered facial injuries in the incident and an ambulance was called to the scene.
A knife is thought to have been involved.
The victim was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath but refused treatment.
Police have interviewed the victim and his friend and are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
