A BURLESQUE style ball will unveil a second nude calendar to raise money for a hospital which cared for a five-year-old Melksham girl.
Abbie's Calendar was launched last year by Beth Dark, mother of Abbie, who was a patient at the Bristol Children's Hospital.
On Friday September 5, the new calendar, which is themed and features friends and relatives of Mrs Dark, will be launched at the ball Mrs Dark, 37, of Craybourne Road, wants to raise money for the hospital after staff helped Abbie cope with the spinal problem she developed as a result of being born with a growth on her neck.
Little Abbie's spine is severely curved due to scoliosis brought on by the Lymphangioma growth and she has to wear a back brace 23 hours a day.
Mrs Dark said: "Last year the calendar raised £800 for the physio department, but this year we are raising money for intensive care as they need bigger bits of equipment."
The ball, to be held from 7.30pm at Melksham Assembly Hall, will feature a catwalk show with the models from the calendar.
She said: "They won't be naked then. We will all be dressed up, but it's going to be spectacular to watch. I don't want to give too much away.
"The ball is really a thank you for everyone who helped put it together."
Tickets for the ball cost £10 and can be bought from Andy York Photography, Duncan at What The Dickens and Bob at Castles Newsagents.
