Police appeal after fatal crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died after coming off his bike near Calne.
A middle-aged local man was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon on Saturday morning after losing control of his bike and landing in a nearby verge on the A3102 at Beaversbrook Road.
The motorcyclist was riding a Peugeot motorcycle when he came off shortly before 9am on Saturday.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the single vehicle incident, or anyone who witnessed the motorcyclist prior to the crash, to contact PC Alan King at the Central Roads Policing Unit in Chippenham on 01225 794688.
