A PICTURESQUE pub nestled on the banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal near Bradford on Avon is proving to be a popular celebrity hang out.
In addition to Kevin Spacey, Ruby Wax and Rowan Atkinson, The Cross Guns at Avoncliff can now add comic actor Harry Enfield to the list of well-known clientele.
Enfield popped into the pub at the weekend while enjoying a weekend away with his family.
He enjoyed a pint of real ale, brewed at the owner's Box Steam Brewery, and even signed a poster for the bar manager.
Enfield sampled a range of Box Steam Brewery beers before proclaiming Tunnel Vision as his favourite.
Bar manager Emily Parker asked him to sign a poster advertising Winter Pimm's, which he features in, and he drew some cartoons and a short message on it.
Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey recently nominated the view of the Avoncliff aqueduct and Kennet and Avon Canal from the Cross Guns as his favourite British countryside view in England.
Spacey visited the pub a couple of times last summer when he hired a canal boat and stopped off at every pub along a stretch of the canal.
