Warminster art pyramid for hospital

A Warminster artist, who specialises in light installations, will produce a new piece to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Bath’s Royal United Hospital.

Bruce Munro, who is also working on turning the hill at Kilmington into a giant illuminated breast to raise awareness for cancer charity Cancerkin, will contribute the sculpture to the hospital’s central courtyard.

Brass Monkeys is an illuminated fibreglass pyramid, laced with fibre optic cables which will pulse blue and white colours.

To be unveiled on November 6 , it will be on display throughout the anniversary celebrations and will eventually move to the new cancer centre.
