Servivg soldiers from Warminster’s resident 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment will join the town’s Remembrance parade.
About 50 troops from the unit, the last of whom returned home from Afghanistan last week, will march alongside members of the Royal British Legion, old comrades associations and representatives of the emergency services and youth groups at 2.30pm on Sunday.
There will be music from the band of The Rifles and members of the legion’s bikers group will ride at the rear of the parade.
The Warminster Royal British Legion vice-chairman, Brian Darvill, said: “Warminster normally turns out in large numbers for the parade. We just hope the weather is good.”
“We expect this will be a particularly well-attended event, as the local battalion have returned and the town will want to mark the men they lost out in Afghanistan.”
The parade will assemble in Station Road at 2.30pm and march through Market Place and The Close to the war memorial in Portway, for a service of remembrance at 3pm, led by the Rev Denis Brett of St John’s Church.
There will also be a short service at the Garden of Remem-brance in St Lawrence Chapel, Market Place, at 11am on Sunday.

The road from Warminster to Imber will open briefly to allow access to Imber for the service. To attend, participants must wait at Vedette Post 2 on Imber Road for an escort at 10.30am.
Westbury THE Remembrance Sunday Service is at the High Street war memorial at 10.50am.
Before the service, uniformed organisations will parade through the town centre from the Warminster Road car park.
There will be services at All Saints Church at 9.30am and 6pm. Services will also be held at the Methodist Church at 10.30am, the Hawkeridge Cong-regational Chapel at 6pm, West End Baptist Church at 10.30am, and mass at St Bernadette’s Catholic Church at 9am.
Other services on Sunday are: Dilton Marsh, 10.15am, Holy Trinity Church, followed by wreath laying at the war memorial at 10.50am Bratton, 9.15am, St James’ Church, followed by wreath laying at the war memorial at 10.45am Edington, 10.45am, the Priory Church Erlestoke, 6.30pm, the Church of St Saviour Bradford on Avon PEOPLE will pay their respects to the fallen on Sunday at a church service at Holy Trinity Church at 10.15am.
After the service, at 10.45am, the congregation will walk across the footbridge over the River Avon to the war memorial in Westbury Gardens.
Bells will ring at 10.57am, before the 11am two minutes’ silence,to be followed by the laying of wreaths by groups and organisations, followed by the Lord’s Prayer and the National Anthem.
Sunday evening sees a Remembrance Sunday Concert with the Cantamus Chamber Choir, Mike Daniels conducting, performing Autumn Blues by Will Todd, Mass in Blue and other works at the Wiltshire Music Centre on Ashley Road.

Melksham THE Remembrance Sunday parade leaves from King Street car park at 2.30pm, heading through the town to St Michael’s Church for a 3pm service.
After the service, wreaths will be laid at the war memorial in Canon Square at 4.10pm, after which refreshments will be served at the Assembly Hall.
All affected roads, including Church Walk, Church Street and Canon Square, will be closed between noon and 5.30pm.

At 10.40am, the parade will re-form and head to the war memorial in Trowbridge Park.
There will be an act of remembrance at 10.57am followed by a two minutes silence at 11am.
Afterwards, refreshments will be served in the Civic Centre.

A parade will feature Scouts and Cubs and performance by the school’s choir Hilperton, 10.30am, St Michael and All Angels Church, with parade to war memorial for wreath laying Holt, 10am, St Katharine’s Church, finishing at the war memorial Box VILLAGERS will hold a united service at the war memorial, at the junction of Bath Road and the A365, at 10.45am on Sunday.
Representatives from the parish council, youth groups and village societies, as well as members of the 21st Signal Regiment (Air Support), based at Colerne’s Azimghur Barracks, will be present.
There will be a short service, followed by a parade through the village and then coffee in the Methodist Church.
Corsham A PARADE will begin at 10.25am, at the Newlands Road car park, which is due to arrive at St Bartholomew’s Church at 10.30am, for a service at 10.50am.
This will end at 11.30am, with the parade then heading to the town’s war memorial, where wreaths will be laid and an act of remembrance staged at 11.50am.
The parade will move off again, when the salute will be taken, at approximately 12.10pm, after the wreath laying. It will head to Corsham branch of the Royal British Legion, in Newlands Road.
