Asda Trowbridge is spreading charity cheer tomorrow in support of ITV’s Text Santa campaign. The supermarket is one of 200 nationwide to hold a synchronised bag pack between 9.30am-12.30pm.

Culminating in a live show hosted by Ant and Dec, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby next Friday, Text Santa is aimed at raising awareness and funds for UK charities which support the most vulnerable at Christmas. It raised £4.1m last year.

Fundraisers will be joined at the checkouts for the bag pack bonanza by representatives from the six UK charities Text Santa is supporting, including Carers UK, Whizz Kidz, Anthony Nolan, Together for Short Lives, Age UK and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Nicky Phillips, Community Life Champion at Asda Trowbridge, said: “No one should suffer at Christmas and that’s why we’re getting fully behind Text Santa again this year. We hope our customers agree and join us while we put the fun into fundraising for this special bag pack and help spread some festive magic to those who are vulnerable in our community during the festive season.”

You can donate £1, £5 or £10 by texting SANTA1, SANTA5 or SANTA10 to 70070, with 100% of your donation going to the Text Santa charities. You must be 16 or over, or ask the bill payer's permission. The last date for text donations is December 22.
