Bath Rugby has chosen Chippen-ham-based Good Energy, the UK’s leading 100 per cent renewable electricity firm with award winning customer service, as its Official Energy Partner. Launched on the day of Bath Rugby’s pre-Christmas match at home to Saracens, fans who sign up as a new customer, via Bath Rugby, will receive a £50 voucher to spend in the Bath Rugby shop. Good Energy will also support Bath Rugby in its efforts to become more sustainable. Electricity supplied by Good Energy will be used to power the Recreation Ground and the Farleigh House training facility. All Good Energy electricity is sourced in the UK from natural sunlight, wind and water. So for each major home match played at the Recreation Ground, approximately ¾ tonne carbon is saved. In addition, Good Energy hopes to support Bath Rugby to generate more renewable electricity itself at Farleigh House, building on progress already made following installation of solar panels.
Juliet Davenport, CEO and founder of Good Energy, said: “We are proud to partner Bath Rugby and we look forward to working with them to lower the club’s carbon footprint in the future.”
