Dead deer in road causes two-car collision

A DEAD deer in the road caused a two vehicle collision on the B3098 in Bratton, Westbury last Friday (January 11) at about 6pm.
The two cars, a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot, collided when one stopped suddenly after seeing the deer lying in the road, causing a shunt with the car behind.
The woman driver of the Peugeot was taken to the RUH with minor injuries and the road was cleared by 8.20pm.

The deer may have had some input to the accident which resulted in its own demise but cannot be fully accused of causing the subsequent collision as the headline would have it.๐
