Police appeal for information on Warminster assault

Police are appealing for information regarding a group of three women who are believed to have been involved in an incident near the John Barleycorn Pub in Weymouth Street, Warminster.

Between 2.30-3am on Saturday (January 26), two women aged 21 and 49 years and a man aged 25 were assaulted by a small group of women. Fortunately no one sustained any serious injuries.

Three young women, two aged 19 from Westbury and a 21-year-old from Frome, were arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and common assault.

They were subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

PC James Isaac said: "We are aware that there were a number of people in the area at the time and I would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding this incident."
