Church trust offering share of £30k to Trowbridge good causes
11:00am Sunday 10th February 2013 in News
A church wants good causes which benefit Trowbridge and surrounding villages to apply for a share of a £30,000 kitty.
St James’ Trust has handed out money to societies and organisations annually since the 1990s.
Ros Histed said: “The kind of people we’ve had apply in the past have included small groups, such as the Monday and Wednesday clubs who support adults with learning difficulties, and the local stroke group, which wanted to take people out on a coach with lift facilities.
“We also get charities such as Splitz and Dorothy House coming to us. We are after rewarding any good causes who make a difference to our community, from the town and nearby villages.”
Groups have to send a stamped and addressed envelope, to get an appli- cation form.
The deadline for applications to be submitted is April 10, and the grants will be handed out in July.
The address to write to for the application form is The St James’ Trust, 37 The Mount, Trowbridge, BA14 8SZ.
