Seend panto takes a trip back to ancient Egypt

They'll be walking like Egyptians in Seend this week, as a panto with a difference takes to the stage.
Seend’s Fawlty Players’ 34th village pantomime is a unique version of the classic tale of Cinderella, transported into ancient Egypt, where the traditional rags-to-riches story is believed to have originated.
Featuring Prince Charming re-imagined as a Pharaoh, the ugly sisters as slave girls, a pirate crew, and the famous golden slipper, the show promises all the usual opportunities for audience participation and family fun.
The final three shows take place at Seend Community Centre tomorrow (7.30pm), Friday (7.30pm) and Saturdayat 7pm.
Tickets are £5, or £3 concessions, and are available from the Community Centre, Seend Post Office and The Brewery Inn. All proceeds from the performance will go to Alzheimer's Support, based in Devizes and Trowbridge.
