12:50pm Thursday 14th March 2013 in News By Andy Baber
The scene in Southwick on Wednesday night
THE A361 through Southwick was closed for almost six hours overnight on Wednesday, after a collision between two cars on Firs Hill, at the Trowbridge end of the village, just after 10.30pm.
A silver Ford Fiesta carrying four people was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Golf, driven by a teenger from Trowbridge.
The driver of the Golf suffered head injuries, while one of the three passengers in the Ford Fiesta suffered leg and pelvic injuries.
A critical care team from Wiltshire Ambulance was at the scene at 10.56pm and
assessed the situation before making a request for backup.
The first ambulance was on scene at 11.29pm, two minutes after a rapid response team. A second ambulance arrived at 11.47pm.
The two injured men, both teenagers from Trowbridge, were taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol where their condition is said to be stable. The road was closed until 4am while Wiltshire Police’s serious collision investigation team investigated the scene.
