Pitch up for Warminster singalong
2:30pm Thursday 14th March 2013 in News
One of the West’s best known choir leaders will be taking a come and sing workshop at the United Church, George Street, Warminster, on Saturday, when people can come and learn music ready to perform that evening.
Grenville Jones created the Golden Oldies charity, which has brought fun through singing and music to hundreds of older people, and last year he was presented to the Queen at the Jubilee Buckingham Palace garden party.
The Warminster workshop runs from 3pm-5.30pm and Grenville emphasises that everyone is welcome.
“You do not have to have singing experience. If you enjoy a good sing in the car or the shower then do come along and have a fun time,” he said.
After the workshop the singers will perform at an evening concert at the Civic Centre at 7pm, alongside Grenville’s Bath Welcome Community choir of 60 voices.
The cost of the workshop and concert is £6 for adults and £4 for juniors under 15.
