Fundraising for charity was a blast

A CHARITY clay shoot event at Wylye Valley Shooting Ground in Warminster on Sunday for the Forever Friends Appeal in aid of a new cancer unit at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

William and Marcia Candy and their friends Claire Tanner and Di Milton were behind the organisation of the event.

Mrs Candy said: “We raised just under £2,000 – including sales of raffle tickets – on the day.

“All helpers came from the village – it was a fantastic community effort.

Tickets for the raffle are still being sold until the draw on Friday, May 17 at 8pm at the Angel Inn in Upton Scudamore.
