A charity sewing session in Warminster was such a success another is planned, after people made dresses from pillowcases to send across the globe.
Dress A Girl Around The World, at Christchurch Hall, asked people to make as many dresses as possible to send out to Africa and other countries.
The day was organised by textiles artist Verity Scott, who designs bespoke wedding gowns and lingerie with a vintage twist for Lace Is More and Jen Gale. Mrs Scott said: “We had people who could sew and those who hadn’t done it before and we made 34 dresses. Because it went down so well, we are going to hold another on June 8. We will also be making clothes for the neo-natal ward at the RUH.”
