Corsham's Heywood Prep School has appointed three new teachers to its staff as it prepares for another busy year.

The independent school and nursery caters for children aged two to 11, and has taken on the extra staff following an increase in pupil numbers.

New head of pre-prep Rebecca Mitchell has joined from Rose Hill Westonbirt School in Tetbury, while Ben Pitman-Jones will become new Year 6 tutor and Sian Perham has been appointed as learning support coordinator.

Headmaster Guy Barrett said: “We have had a busy and exciting year. This has resulted in such a strong growth in demand for places and so we have been busy recruiting additional staff and will be opening a second reception class for September.”

An open day will be held on September 28. For more information, visit www.heywoodprep.com
