A bingo night is due to be held in Trowbridge tomorrow, to raise money for the warden and elderly residents affected by the Weavers Drive bungalow fire last month.

Neighbours and the surrounding community have been donating prizes for the bingo ever since the blaze, on November 23, which destroyed the warden’s bungalow and a neighbouring roof.

Doors open at Longfield Community Centre at 6.15pm and the bingo starts at 7pm. Donations of prizes are still being encouraged.

James McDonald, the chairman of Longmeadow Tenants and Residents Association, said: “The more the better. If we get so much we can’t use them, they can be donated to the residents.”
