Much of Wiltshire is getting back to normal on Christmas Day as 79 south west flood warnings are no longer in force.

Following Monday night's heavy rainfall and strong winds towns and villages across Wiltshire suffered from flooding.

The weather was less severe on Christmas Eve and now only eight flood warnings remain in place in Wiltshire.

Two of worst affected on Monday were Bradford on Avon and Malmesbury with residents being advised that flood warnings still remain in those locations.

The town bridge in Bradford on Avon remains closed after the River Avon burst it banks yesterday.

During Monday's flooding, homes in St John's bridge in Malmesbury were damaged, while many roads in the village were closed. For more information about flood warnings visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk.
