Hundreds of people turned out in Holt for the traditional Boxing Day Boules.
The event, held on the village green, attracted 40 teams and Holt Boules boss John Palmer was surprised at the huge turnout given the festive flooding.
He said: “We had 160 entrants and dozens more watching despite Holt not being the easiest place to get to after the floods.”
The Beagles team won, after a close finish with the Badgers, and the winning foursome of Amanda and Paul Girdler and Kristy and Mark Field were awarded a bottle of Champagne by Sam Liverton, new publican at the Ham Tree.
Villagers who stayed on for the finals were treated to a performance from the Holt Morris men who danced on the road next to the village green.
