A girl is being treated for facial injuries following a collision with a van in the car park of Melksham’s Asda at 2.41pm today.
An off-duty paramedic treated the 10-year-old at the scene while waiting for ambulance crews to arrive.
The girl was taken to Royal United Hospital, Bath.
Wiltshire Police is investigating the incident and has closed off a lane of the A350 Beanacre Road.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible as traffic delays are expected.
